Tadalafil is a medicine used to treat erection problems (impotence), it belongs to a group of medicines called phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitors (PED5). When sexual stimulation causes the local release of nitric oxide, inhibition of PDE5 by tadalafil produces increased levels of cGMP in the corpus cavernosum. This results in smooth muscle relaxation and inflow of blood into the penile tissues, there by producing an erection. It usually takes 30 to 60 minutes for tadalafil to work for erectile dysfunction. You can take it once a day, at least 30 minutes before you want to have sex.
Tadalafil tablets for erectile dysfunction come in different strengths ranging from 2.5mg to 20mg. Tadalafil can come in two different forms:Tadalafil 36-hour (10mg, 20mg) and Tadalafil daily (2.5mg, 5mg).
Tadalafil daily can be taken every day to give you the option to always be ready for sexual intercourse. The starting dose of Tadalafil daily is 5mg and should betaken with water everyday.
